This is a small collection of songs that were largely written a couple of years a go. It took a while to put them together and get them recorded (due to both laziness and other obligations), but it was a super fun process. The songs were originally influenced by the people and places that I was missing when I first moved away from home. Its been interesting to see what has and hasn't changed in the past couple years since the songs were written. ANYWAYS its been fun and hopefully we'll make some more music if we are able to, because this has been dope.

released November 24, 2015

Board Games is currently Nate (vox, guitar, bass) and Evan (drums)
We go to school in Rochester, NY and Framingham, MA respectively and we are both originally from Cape Cod, MA.

Thanks to Ben Raymond for recording all drums except track 3
Thanks to Nick Raymond and Shad Islem for letting me use their guitars when mine wasn't working.
Thanks to Jon Kohen for sending me the backup files for the drum tracks after my computer crashed and I lost everything.
Thanks to anyone who is willing to listen to this!

Track Name: We're Wired to Forget
It's all gone.
No recollection of your brow thickness
or line impressions on the front of your palms.
And the tone of your voice,
once so soft but distinct, blends with the others
to make one sound.

If it makes you feel any better, it's humbling to me
the way our minds develop - the wiser we are, the more we forget.
It's the way we're wired - to forget.
We're wired to forget.
Track Name: Musical Chairs
Nineteen years of selfish living, I've done nothing.
So what have I been doing with all this time?
Sitting in a circle, and the music has stopped.
Why won't it start?

Let go, you could live right now.

Oh no! It's coming again,
Ya can't stop shit when it's rollin downhill.
So make room for spoiled thoughts,
they've been sitting around and my head hurts too much.
And I've lost all sense of what matters in this place.
And I've lost half of myself.

A little bit longer,
I'll see you in the winter.
Wait for the birds to leave.
I'll see you soon.
Track Name: Rotary Breathing
Choked by the tide, no matter how fully expected
Interpreted the signs, but it still got you from behind
Didn't say a word as you let the current work against your body
Pulled you out farther than anything

I just don't think I can understand
how people just replace each other
So I don't think that I'm gonna try,
and maybe I'll be alright

I'm not the only one who values people,
but I wish I valued time.
Track Name: Driveway
Five hundred pictures of the same sunset,
now it has lost all its meaning.
What kind of person am I if I can't capture the color of the sky?
Well, I don't know. I guess I'll leave home,
and cover up my path with the leaves
so that I won't find my way back,
because I'm supposed to want that.

I haven't been around.
Just tucked away upstate.
But I really miss you stopping by my driveway late at night.
Track Name: Wash Up Again
I guess I've never been one to think ahead
I've been caught in a web of my own apathy
And there's a million ways to make it out alive
But I haven't tried
Because it's never easy cutting the string of your own kite

Show me how

Watch me float in the wind
Just to fall into the ocean and wash up again
You won't see me anymore
Although you can't be too far
I'll know you're there
I'll always know
